Speed Training

Speed has six elements (click on them to learn more)

Velocity                                                                               Agility

Power                                                                                  Strength

Coordination                                                                     Flexibility

Athletes who develop their speed, agility, balance and coordination early in life are more likely to reach their athletic potential in whatever sport they choose. During this important time in a child’s life, youth athletes are in their “skill-hungry” years. With training, they will become better athletes.

Youth athletes, ages 9 to 20, need small adjustments to the six speed elements to become faster.  Speed is important in any sport to become better.  Speed can be taught.

I am a track coach with children who are interested in other sports like soccer, football, basketball and baseball.   As a parent on the sideline, I know I want to give my children a great experience.  So I decided to start to teach basic speed training to my children to assist them in their sport.  They started to stand out on the playing field.  Of course, the questions come.  I answer truthfully.  And this is how the SPEED DOCUMENT is born. Over the years it has been refined to promote the 6 essential elements of speed.  Speed can be taught.

I still am a track coach; however, I am a speed trainer too.  Let me make your child, your athlete, your team faster.  Contact me.
